Which bed size is right for my room?

Start with the mattress size: single 90 × 190cm, small double 120 × 190cm, double 135 × 190cm, king 150 × 200cm and super king 180 × 200cm.

These are standard UK mattress dimensions, not the outside dimensions of a bed frame. Always check the full product measurements and leave space to walk around, open doors and access storage. Contact us if a measurement is not listed.

Ottoman or divan: what’s the difference?

An ottoman lifts to reveal storage beneath the mattress. Check whether it opens from the end or side and leave enough clearance for the lifting mechanism.

A divan uses an upholstered base, with drawer storage on some configurations. Allow space to open the drawers and check whether the headboard and mattress are included.

How do I choose a sofa that fits?

Measure the available floor space and mark out the sofa’s width and depth with tape. Consider how much room you need for walking, side tables and fully extended recliners.

Check the product’s overall dimensions rather than relying on its seat count. A three-seater can vary considerably between designs.

Which side should my corner or chaise go on?

Use the product’s layout images and dimension diagram to check orientation. Retailers can describe left and right from different viewpoints, so never rely on the name alone.

For a modular sofa, check which arrangements the supplied modules allow. If you’re unsure about a particular configuration, ask us before ordering.

Will it fit through the door?

Measure the full delivery route: outside access, doorways, narrow halls, stairs, turns and lift openings. Check ceiling clearance at stair corners, too.
